Shark Rocket HV292 TruPet Review
The HV292 is easy to use, lightweight, and affordable. It has wonderful cleaning power and a box full of extensions and tools. The Shark Rocket will cost you around 1/3 less than alternative hand vacuums yet fulfills its duty well.
One of the key elements of a good vacuum is suction, especially for handheld devices that naturally can’t compete with their big brothers. In our test, the Rocket hasn’t lost suction power until its dust bin was full.
The sleek and elegant design of this model is perfect on stairs, manages pet hair removal, and deals with hard-to-reach locations easily. We find the grip very comfortable and neat while adding to the beauty of this vacuum.
Features of the Rocket HV292
Great Suction and Filter
The power itself is decent, but its ability to remain at that level is what makes it so great. You’ll never have to worry about a loss of suction or being unable to finish the cleaning job.
The Rocket comes with a reusable, washable filter that is easy to deal with. We find this feature very important in any vacuum, not only for saving money on filters but also on waste. Also, it is quite convenient to have a reusable filter instead of having to buy new ones periodically. This way, you don’t need to worry about clean filtration or the need to replace the filter before your house cleaning is done. Having a washable filter makes maintaining your Shark Rocket a breeze.
Hose Flexibility & Attachments
The Rocket also comes with a flexible hose that makes it easy to reach high places. You simply hold the hose in one hand and the Rocket itself in the other.
A Motorized Brush
Vacuums for pet hair all need a motorized brush. As you move it over a spot, it loosens dander and hair so it can be sucked up much more easily. This increases the efficiency in dealing with pet hair a lot. Even if you aren’t a pet owner, you can use this brush on those high traffic areas, like your entryway, to pick up dirt and mud. The motorized brush is easy to install and remove, making it an excellent bonus for the Shark Rocket.
Attachments for Micro-Cleaning
Do you struggle cleaning those small grooves in your furniture or fine cracks in the floors? Those tiny spots that you can never clean due to their minute size?
Optionally, the Rocket comes with a micro-cleaning kit to get all those itty-bitty spots. For a small additional charge, you can get this kit. It’s fabulous and useful, and something we wish more vacuums would have.
Final Thoughts
Around 1/3 less expensive than alternative hand vacuums, the HV292 offers great value and is full of attachments & accessories. It has good suction, features a reusable, washable filter, and is not limited by battery life due to its corded design. The latter makes this essentially a tiny household vacuum, perfect for situations where it’s too cumbersome (and unnecessary) to bring out the heavy main vacuum.
There is a reason why this vacuum made our top list as the best hand vacuum for pet hair. Shark is known for its innovations, and now you can apply some of that quality in your home for less money than other models of its type.
